Eric A.S. Harvey, J.D., Editor-in-Chief
J.D., DePaul University College of Law, 2019
B.A., History, Reed College, 2014
Chicago-native Eric A.S. Harvey, J.D. has devoted his life to advocacy for press freedoms, founding TheReframer.org 15 October 2019.
More recently, he has worked as a writer for AssangeDefense.org, fighting for Founder and former Editor-in-Chief of Wikileaks Julian Assange, as Assange undergoes on-going extradition proceedings in the United Kingdom.
Motivated by the belief that only free and unbridled access to information precedes all effective political action, Harvey focuses almost exclusively on advocating not just for Assange, but also journalists, whistleblowers, and anti-secrecy platforms in general.
Focuses of study while he was earning his Juris Doctor included laws and precedent around press freedoms, freedom of expression, and government surveillance.
He handles all aspects of operating TheReframer.org. Simultaneously, he is authoring a novel that is organized around First Amendment issues.
Leah Levine, Columnist
B.A., Art History, Loyola University Chicago, 2019
Pursuing a Master’s in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Chicago-born activist Leah Levine specializes in analyses of how central educational systems are to a citizenry’s ability to interpret and consume information.
While she is contributing to TheReframer.org, she concurrently dedicates herself to advocacy for prison abolition, racial justice, and sex workers.
At the basis of her passion for these causes rests the powerful theory that censorship and suppression of information compromise any social or political movement.
